This page contains the licensing terms that govern your use of SynapseBridge, a software product published by Gain Publications. Your use of SynapseBridge is governed both by this license and by the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms that accompany every Microsoft Store purchase.
When you acquire SynapseBridge through the Microsoft Store, your use is governed by the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms. Those terms cover, among other things, the basic grant of rights to install and use the application, restrictions on transfer and reverse engineering, and the disclaimer of warranties. The terms below are additional terms from Gain Publications. They sit alongside the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms and do not replace them. Where the two might conflict, the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms control on the subjects they address.
Subject to your compliance with this license, Gain Publications grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
SynapseBridge processes content that belongs to you. Gain Publications makes no claim on any of it.
%APPDATA%\SynapseBridge.SynapseBridge is a client application that lets you connect to many third-party AI providers — including but not limited to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq, Fireworks, Together, OpenRouter, DeepInfra, Mistral, Cohere, Perplexity, and xAI. When you send a request to any of those providers through SynapseBridge:
You are responsible for reviewing and understanding the terms of any AI provider you choose to connect to SynapseBridge.
SynapseBridge is a client application. Gain Publications did not create, train, or host any of the AI models accessible through SynapseBridge. All AI models, services, and APIs that SynapseBridge connects to are operated by independent third parties — including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq, Fireworks, Together, OpenRouter, DeepInfra, Mistral, Cohere, Perplexity, xAI, and others. SynapseBridge is a way for you to access those services using credentials you provide; it is not, itself, an AI service.
Out of the box, immediately after installation, SynapseBridge has no access to any AI provider, no API keys, no network credentials, and no permissions to read or modify files on your system. You must explicitly:
The accuracy, safety, legality, cost, and content of any AI output is determined by the third-party provider you have chosen to use, not by Gain Publications. Gain Publications does not relay, intermediate, or process AI requests; your messages travel directly from your computer to the provider you have selected.
The application includes optional "agent" capabilities that can read, modify, and create files; execute shell commands; and access the network — but only within the scopes you configure and only after you have granted the relevant permissions. You are responsible for:
SynapseBridge is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. Gain Publications does not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gain Publications disclaims all such warranties.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gain Publications shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or substitute software — arising from or related to your use of SynapseBridge. The total liability of Gain Publications for any direct damages, regardless of the cause of action, shall not exceed the amount you paid for the software in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
You may not:
"SynapseBridge" and "Gain Publications" are trademarks of Gain Publications. The names of third-party AI providers, products, and services referenced in SynapseBridge or in this license are the trademarks of their respective owners. No grant of trademark rights is conferred by this license.
This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically without notice from Gain Publications if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and uninstall it from your devices. Termination of the license does not affect your ownership of content you created using the software prior to termination.
Gain Publications may revise this license from time to time. The current version is identified by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through Microsoft Store update notes or through the application itself. Your continued use of the software after a change to this license constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
This license is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to this license or the software shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Menard County, Illinois.
If any provision of this license is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
This license, together with the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Gain Publications concerning SynapseBridge and supersedes all prior agreements, communications, and understandings, whether oral or written, relating to its subject matter.
